Session Lead: Raleigh Hood

Co-Lead(s): Jeni Keisman

Session Format: Oral presentations

Session Description:

This session invites abstract submissions related to the general topic of estuarine and watershed processes, which includes a wide range of research disciplines (physical, chemical and biological) and trophic levels (from plankton to living resources). Submission of management- and social science-oriented abstracts is also encouraged.

Presenters:

Rui Jin – Translating an open-ocean biogeochemistry code with cryptic sulfur cycling to Chesapeake Bay requires considering the impacts of burial, DON, and optics

Henry Legett – Predicting thermal habitat for river herring in Chesapeake Bay watersheds using spatial stream network models

Karinna Nunez – Development of the Shoreline Management Model to Assess Site Suitability of Living Shorelines and Emphasize Best Shoreline Management Practices

Zach Clifton – N/A

Allison Tracy – Chesapeake Bay oyster habitat depends on the environment and management

Raika Gawde – Evaluating the relationship between abundance of the Eastern oyster (Crassostrea virginica) and water quality metrics using a coupled hydrodynamic-biogeochemical model

Matt Robinson – Addressing Plastic Pollution in the Chesapeake Bay and its Watershed

Olivia Devereux – Tracking Projects Toward the Chesapeake Bay Outcomes
